Sorry for my absence, but I've been a busy fellow. As have all of Coraid in the past year and a half. After we developed the EtherDrive host bus adaptor for VMware's ESX, we saw what a game changing technology ATA-over-Ethernet really is. So I packed my bags and headed to California to visit old friends and make new ones. New friends include Kevin Brown, our new CEO, and Carl Wright, our EVP of sales. These guys are the real deal. It's now been six months since Coraid took $10M in investment and created our Redwood City California office. New people excited and committed to changing the storage world.
This means lots of changes at Coraid, and good ones. One great change for me personally is that I can now go back to being the CTO. I get to do what I love to do, and that's invent new technologies. But I'm not one to sit back, scratch my beard and write memorandums. Coding is my mode of expression. Good old fashioned inventing by building software. I've been doing it for 32 years and see no reason to stop now.
So, just this short post to let everyone know I am back. More posts soon.
